Been looking for some cheap but quality in-ear earphones for use with my mobile phone for past weeks. The default headset is a typical earphone that hurts your ear over a period of use. So I’ve decided to buy an in-ear type hoping that It’ll be more comfortable wearing earphones while lying on bed.
So I was at a mall and decided to look for an A4tech MK-650 earphone – which I’ve read is a good bang-for-buck, I saw it being sold online for just $6 but has a very good reviews. After checking out few stores, I got lazy and decided to just settle for any cheap in-ear phone. There I saw Genius GHP-200X being sold for $9 (sold online for $7) , It caught my eye because of its sporty & clean design.

It has an L shape cord of around1.4 meters. Noise cancelling, I can’t hear the others talking while wearing this earphone.
This is my first bass earphone so I can’t compare it with other earphone. Though I can with my Audio Technica WS55, a mid-bass headphone.
I’ve just recently got interested in Audiophile when I bought my Audio Technica WS55 ($85), so I don’t know much of terms. I’ve always believed that as long as I can hear music – it’s enough. Definitely I had a rough awakening. I looked back and felt sad of the music I’ve missed while listening using ordinary cheap speakers
Videos I’ve listened at :
Specially this one… AT WS55′s promotional video. The very video that convinced me to buy it.
Genius has more bass and bit louder than AT (Audio Technica), I’m feeling more of those beats but AT is definitely more clear & crispier. For the price of $9, Genius GHP-200X is definitely a budget but music quality earphone. I have a Creative GigaWorks T20 for a speaker, Audio Technica WS55 for headphone (spent most of its time on the cabinet), so this Genius makes a good backup – use & toss earphone
